Gillan: What I really like in this story, I’m glad that it’s taken this turn because it’s given me, as an actress playing Amy, something new to play because kind of, she always kind of have Rory in the palm of her hand. Uhm, so to have this happen just open up loads of new avenues. I mean, it’s really weird for Amy as well because she’s obviously have a roaming eye in the past herself. So yeah, she’s kind of obviously not too possessive like that because she wouldn’t expect Rory to be that possessive over her. 

Darvill: I think Rory has to try not to be possessive. I think he really has to keep it back. He just has to play it cool. Rory just wants to be cool.

Christopher Eccleston: With a lot of the things he does, he’s, he’s kind of got eyes in the back of his head and, and he’s, he’s weighing her up right from the start, really. And she seems to slip into his rhythm, she just feels right to him and him to her. It’s not in his nature to uhm, question things too much. He just sweeps her along and she’s able to surf it, really.  

Billie Piper: He’s 900 years old, she’s 19, yet they think alike. She’s so astute and so, kind of, inquisitive that she spots things. And that’s what he loves about her and that’s what she loves about him. They are just partners in crime, through and through. But she’s not scared to challenge him equally, you know. And, um, I think that’s something that he finds quite brilliant about her.
